Jewel Changi: Rain Vortex & Canopy Park
The glass dome between Changi's terminals holds the world's tallest indoor waterfall, a 40m Rain Vortex pouring through a five-storey forest, with a rooftop Canopy Park of nets, mazes and slides above it. The waterfall and the forest trails are free and open to anyone, flying or not. It is the best use of a long layover in Asia — but you must clear immigration to reach it, so budget five hours of transit.

Any tips before I go?Transit passengers must clear arrival immigration: Indians need a Singapore visa, or the 96-hour Visa Free Transit Facility (valid US/UK/Germany/Australia/Canada/Japan/NZ/Swiss visa + onward ticket to a third country).
- Transit passengers must clear arrival immigration: Indians need a Singapore visa, or the 96-hour Visa Free Transit Facility (valid US/UK/Germany/Australia/Canada/Japan/NZ/Swiss visa + onward ticket to a third country) — allow 5 hours.
- Check in at least 2 hours before departure; Jewel's early check-in counters on Level 1 take most airlines.
- Drop bags at the Level 1 baggage storage (SGD 11 per bag under 10kg, 24h) — do not drag luggage up to the Canopy.
- Buy the SGD 8 entry only if you want the slides; the Vortex view from the Canopy Bridge needs the SGD 39 bundle.
What should I carry?Passport.
- Passport — you pass immigration to get here
- Boarding pass or booking for the early check-in counters
- Socks — the nets and slides require them
- A light layer; the dome is air-conditioned cold
Where can I eat?2 places on site.
