What do I need to enter Macau?Three, checked at the border

Carry them in hand luggage; immigration asks for them in that order. The passport must have six months left on the day you fly in.

Travelling with a child? The child needs their own passport; the same rules apply.

Keep these ready

  • Indian passport valid 6+ months
  • Return/onward ticket (ferry or bus ticket back to Hong Kong is fine)
  • Hotel booking — occasionally asked

What happens at the Macau border?Three things to know

  1. No registration, no form: show the passport at the Macau border, ferry terminal or airport
  2. Coming from Hong Kong: your PAR visit ends when you leave Hong Kong; coming back into Hong Kong counts as a new PAR visit (up to 14 days)
  3. Keep the small arrival slip — it is checked on the way out
