- Cash vs card
- Bali runs on cash outside hotels and big restaurants: warungs, temple tickets, scooter rental, boats and drivers all want IDR. Withdraw IDR 2.5M at a time from a BCA or BNI ATM inside a bank branch — Mandiri machines add a flat IDR 50,000 fee for foreign cards. Change money only at authorised (PVA-licensed) counters with a receipt.
