Batu Caves

A 400-million-year-old limestone hill 13 km north of KL with a Murugan temple in its main cave, a 42-metre golden Murugan at the foot and 272 rainbow-painted steps between them.

Brickfields Little India walk

Ten minutes' walk from KL Sentral, Brickfields is the oldest Indian quarter in the city — a wide arcaded street of saree shops, gold, flower garlands and the best pure-veg food in Malaysia, with a 1902 Jaffna-style Murugan temple and Vivekananda's 1904 ashram at either end.
